A Hepvo valve was installed by ETI under our little bathroom sink, but our kitchen sink doesn't have one. I ass u me most of us have at least a P trap underneath the sink.

Does ETI install a Hepvo valve in the shower or did you install one there?

Enjoy,

Perry

Can you please tell me where they installed yours ?
And is it a plastic drain cock ?

Many thanks
Hi. Our low point drain is at the rear near the fresh tank and comes up through the floor and intersects with the cold water supply pipe near the pump. I believe they had a fitting with a plug outside but I cut that off and installed a Sharkbite ball valve for convenience. It’s not used as the sole means of winterizing. In fact we drain the water down and then pump in antifreeze. It’s also convenient if you want to drain water out between trips, drain some antifreeze out in the Spring before flushing, replace a water pump, etc.

I had the low point drain in my 2009 19. It was a fantastic thing to use. With it open you just opened all the valves until the lines ran dry. Add some antifreeze to the P-traps done.

I believe Reace stopped doing this when the 21 came out.

That is on your fresh water tank, correct? If so, that is just the tank drain.

The drain for fresh water tank is to the right, on the tank. The low-point drain is the long hose on the left side of the picture.
They stopped installing it after the flush mechanism on the toilet was changed by the manufacturer, so that water remained trapped, even when the low-point drain was used. That resulted in broken valves when frozen.

Oh, just figured out that "low point drain" wasn't referring to body parts.

Next camp host assignment - later in the summer/fall 2021, either Arches or Capitol Reef NP.
