Stained glass window
We will be getting a 21C in September and a friend is making a stained glass window for the door. Can anyone tell me the measurements of the window in the door? I think I will need both the size of the unfinished glass and the finished window.
Thanks so much

Ask Escape- they should have the size of the glass and a template for the door.

Oh yes, what a sweet friend! From the inside of the door, the opening of the door window is 9.5 in x 19.5 in and is a rectangle shape with (2"-3"?) rounded edges. The window, however is recessed back in the door about 1.5in inside and is noticeably larger than the opening. The window size is actually closer to about 10.75in x 20.75in so unless there is way to get behind the opening I don't see how you can get a bigger piece of glass in there, to fit all the way around??
I do see some screws all around the window frame so I wonder if those screws would give you access to the window inside OR perhaps the window is a one piece unit and simply attaches to the door as such?? Escape should be able to tell you. If you would like a templet of the shape, just PM me I'd be happy to trace, one of the the opening and one of the actual window and mail it to you. Hope this works... if it does please post pics! -Bea

There are many people who make stained glass windows for trailers. I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to find someone who would make you one.

There are also vinyl stick-on faux stain glass sold online. Easier to do.

I love real stained glass, but I used those in my home (bathroom with clear window) and they look great. I like that idea for the trailer, hadn't thought of it. I want to put a peephole in the fogged window of the door because of an experience my sister had opening her camper door to someone she couldn't see (assumed it was her daughter) and encountering a weirdo (turned out okay, but might not have.) Would be easy to replace with the "stained glass" at the same time. (Don't want to go clear since it faces the bathroom door.)

stained glass
Years ago we went to a large rv show in Sacramento and bought a panel from a vendor for our motorhome, went out to the parking lot and installed the stained glass. I also installed the clear original glass to protect the stained glass.

Did you ever have any condensation issues between glass and Stain glass piece?

We have had this stained glass window with clear glass protection for 10 years in our Casita and had no problem with condensation.
