My wife ordered the Snap It table base from a company state side. After a few modifications this is what it looks like. No holes in the trailer and you can also remove it for use outside.

We did the same on our 19 and made an additional table that was a little smaller than the one ETI supplied. We had no problems with the Snap Two. We purchased the T mounding for the table from ETI and changed out the color on the counter top and flip up table too. Thinking about doing one for the 21. You can match the counter top laminate from Home Depot etc
The Snap Two base came from Recreation Surplus in Elkhart IN. It’s Amish built.

How do you stow it for travel?

We traveled with out table folded down and resting on the rails used for the bed setup. I cut a couple little 3/4 by 3/4 by about 6 inch long stops with an angle on one end and a couple Velcro Dots on the bottom. That kept the table in place from sliding forward. Towing is the rolling earthquake Donna describes especially as you roll down the busted up Interstates especially in Minnesota. I don’t travel I90 to get to South Dakota anymore. I take US 20 across northern Iowa and go north on I29 at Souix City.

This is just what I'm looking for in the front of the 17A which will have a dinette instead of the permanent bed. I don't want anything protruding from the floor, and most of the time, it'll be a 30 inch wide bed with a little bit of seating on each end.

If you get a snap 2 base, there are levelers on each crossbar. There’s a stop nut on the bottom outside of the tube but the nut will work loose. So I took the endcaps out and put another nut on the leveler stem and once level, tightened them down. No more loosening up
and always level. Pretty stealthy huh?
