trailer's interior temp was about 78F
So you have no vent to the exterior in your rig?

You bought yours used; the original owner must have done the swap.

nope, it was installed by Escape when new. The Original Owner had bought it, and on their 2nd weekend trip, her husband died, she never used it again, it sat a couple years, then she sold it to us.

Must have been a 4th quarter 2014 build then. Our delivery was 9/17; some in the 4th quarter had their heater moved to the drawer stack as the Atwood model used in the dinette was discontinued.

Yeah, you can see it in your DC fridge photos. My point is that your trailer must have been built after our September 2014 build as we originally had the single door RML8555 fridge.

As a reference point, our '21 was built in January 2015 and Reace said it was one of the first ones with the "new" RMD8555 style with two doors - one for the freezer and one for the main box. It also came with "Texas" fans standard.

I had a problem with my refrigerator in my 2018 21C not cooling properly during high heat days of summer. I think my fridge model is a DM2663. I tried several different things before I finally discovered the “exhaust” from the roof top air conditioner was blowing directly into the refrigerator vent. I set up a deflector with a 18”x24” piece of light plywood and everything started working great. It was well over 100 F when I was testing with the trailer parked in direct sunlight on the fridge side of the trailer. I’ve not found anyway to put on a permanent solution that would hold up at highway speeds, so I’ll just put the little piece of plywood up there on any times I’ll be camped on days warmer than 90 F outside.
