The Eagle Has Landed!

Our E19 was delivered on Monday after +5,500 km on the back of a flatbed. I've spent the last couple of days washing, waxing and cleaning.
Everything looks good and I'm pleased with the quality of the product overall.

The drop-off process was stressful I must say. It appears as if the truck driver did not bring the jack that would allow the tongue to be lifted and rolled. This meant that the trailer needed to be dragged with the trailer jack scraping along the flatbed floor. Thanks to the ingenuity of the local tow truck driver we were able to do this without bending the trailer jack.

Other than the EMS I have not tested plumbing or appliances. Should be able to do that in the next couple of days.
There is a fairly strong off-gas odour so we've got windows and vents open and fans running. I suspect this might take a while to dissipate.

One thing I have noticed (see photo below) is a small hole in the caulking around the bathroom exhaust fan cover on the roof. The hole looks uniform - like it's supposed to be there - but I can't imagine the purpose. I wonder if someone may be able to look and see if yours has the same hole? I'm reluctant to plug it without confirming.

So, soon time to start stocking the trailer!

That appears to be a drain hole, I'd leave it alone.....

That’s for sure what it is. They’ve been that way since 2013. The gasket keeps water out when the cap is down but if the cap is up and it rains, some rain can come inside and some will run out that little slot. Especially if the trailer is tilted a degree or two that direction. If you use the shower and you want the best possible drainage, put your little torpedo level on the shower floor and make the drain corner the “low point”.
YMMV

That off gassing will be occurring for months. It’s nice when it starts to subside.

Congratulations on your new trailer!
