The quality of the Escape trailers and the people who build them

We just got back from a trip to the ETI facilities in Chilliwack and came back more than a little impressed. In looking at the trailers, Tammy was there with us and explained the features and options that were available with each model. We ended up ordering the 21 and another gentleman who was there ordered a 17 to replace a Casita. He had seen both and it was a done deal. Saturday morning Reace gave us a personal tour of their facilities and showed us every step of the production and how they are built. As I am into anything having to do with construction or mechanical I couldn't have asked for more and Cathy really enjoyed it too. Reace and Tammy have perfected this operation and I don't think that the quality of this trailer can be beat. If you care anything about a quality built unit and the best people who will take care of you, this is the place to go. The only problem we saw is that they are outgrowing their plant. That says it all. Loren

Congrats on placing your order, Loren. Let the wait begin. I have yet to tour their new facilities, as both times I visited, they were still at their old place. Nice folk, eh?

Congratulations on your trailer choice and having an adequate tow vehicle.

Reace and Tammy are pretty well known around that area. Going through customs in Sumas, the gal we got was pretty terse and was firing off questions one after another. "Where are you going"? and "what are you doing there"? After saying we were going to ETI to buy a trailer she immediately relaxed and got friendly. We mentioned Escape checking in at the Best Western and the price dropped also.

I for one hope they don't get "too big". The wonderful thing about ETI is that due to Reace and Tammy's customer focus and attention to detail, and the smallness of their operation, they produce a world class product. I've seen too many companies expand to the point where that kind of quality suffers. I don't think Reace and Tammy would let that happen, but just saying.

We're right behind you - going up 9/25. In addition to ETI, we'll visit the driving school and with luck I can coax my wife up the Goose Grind.

My wife coaxed me up the Grouse Grind a couple of years ago. "Let's go for a nice little hike she said." Let me know how this works out for ya. If there wasn't a burger and a beer at the top, I would have divorced her . Something to check off your list I suppose. Get the T-shirt!

Looks like a "fun" trail to me. But then again my typical hike in the mountains of Western North Carolina is 10 - 12 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing. I'm sure that others would think of this as being crazy, but why be normal!!!

Agree with the quality at ETI - it's the best!
And, good grief on that hike! Here's how we got to the top of Mt Howard at Wallowa Lake last week.

The Grouse Grind is only a 10 minute drive away. Favorite moment; stopping for a drink and having an old geezer go by and say " I'm 85 and faster than you"

Yes, and with the second half of the hike down. I think that was Bridal Falls east of Chilliwack that we stopped at and that was how it was. Loren

I've done a fair amount of hiking and we typically rate a climb as steep if it is 1,000 ft of elevation gain per mile. The Goose Grind is 2,900 ft in less than 2 miles. I can see why so many use it to get a good workout.
