How long does it take Escape to build a 5.0?

How long does it take for them to build the fifth wheel?

A good week. Unfortunately the wait is well over a year. Contacting Escape would give you a realistic answer.

Currently quite a bit more than a good week of actual elapsed calendar days, especially if you consider starting at the fiberglass shell layup in the mold.

You're welcome to follow along and track the days on mine currently under construction: First batch of build pics taken at 7:15AM on 7/23/2021 per original photo file properties (I'll post updates in that thread as they are made available to me on ETI's build pic portal)

FWIW I was told at 10:30AM on 7/16/2021 that my trailer shell had already been removed from the mold but none of the shell cutouts had been made as of that time (I made a last-minute request to eliminate the front Maxxfan cutout, ETI accommodated noting my request "... caught them in the nick time!").

When is your finished date?

As noted in my signature block, my Guaranteed Completion Date is 8/18/2021. BUT, that's not necessarily indicative of actual elapsed 'time to build' (I guess that depends on how you look at it). This excerpt from the email advising me of my build pics portal link might be of interest ...

" ...We get 15 minutes to run down the line and take photos for all the trailers in production, it is a fast process so we cannot take special photos. Over the next few days, we will continue to add more photos as your Escape travels in the main assembly production line. The last set of photos in this stage will show substantial completion i.e., all the systems are installed and fully tested & the main structure and cabinetry will all be in place. This is not the end, after this stage in our main assembly line your trailer will go to storage in our offsite secure storage yard, and then when we wait to prepare for your delivery/pickup. When your delivery/pickup date gets close, we will pull your trailer from storage and complete our Pre-Delivery Inspection and Finalization (PDI). This is where we polish the outside, detail the inside and put all the final touches to your Escape. Final photos will be uploaded to the same link when we complete PDI."

I recall Karl describing this same process in a video, but can't ID that particular one.

In my case, the referenced "delivery/pickup" is already arranged as delivery to Denton TX, as soon as possible upon trailer completion, even if that happens to be before the GCD. That's a function of both trailer completion and the availability of transporter space to the Denton delivery hub.

Maybe worth noting that my build is very simple, no AC, no electrical/solar options. no U-shaped dinette, etc.; most of my customizations are 'subtractive' (i.e. 'delete' items). All of that may contribute to a slightly shorter than typical production time.
