Tipping

I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that tipping the driver, who will take my trailer from Chilliwack to Sumas, is normal. What is a normal amount? Or is the limb going to break for making this assumption? Thanks

It is a short trip and part of their delivery process included in the price. Dennis, who is Tammy's dad did mine and I forgot to tip him. I'll see him at the rally and will give him a beer. The delivery driver to your home, Dave however I did tip as it is a long ways off.

The person who delivered ours would not take a tip when we attempted to tip him. Said that was part of his job. His name was Clayton.

Let's be clear in our answer, situation (a) is you pick it up at the factory, but they must import the unit to US and an employee drives it to Sumas. Do you tip that employee? Situation(b) is when you pay a delivery charge to have it delivered, via truck to your home or other destination, do you tip the driver. (a) and (b) are 2 different scenarios....

I'd tip any delivery driver that went out of their way to be of service. If the driver met with engine problems or bad weather or unforeseen circumstances then yes, I'd tip the driver, probably enough to get a burger and a beer. But if the delivery driver is only preforming his job then I'd probably just offer a cold drink and a chair to sit on a spell before they took off to their next delivery.
