Today is actually the first day of my retirement!

I still work most days but the paperwork says I am now retired.

Lots of people considered me "out to pasture" long ago.

Now it is official. Can I buy anyone a beer?

Hi: UncleTim... It's not "Out to pasture", it's Past tenure!!!
It's the best job I've ever had... I should have done it first. Alf

My father's goal was to retire longer than his working years, he made it by 1 year. I'll have to reach 96 to beat him....?

Mountain Sun it is! Name the time!

I would love to meet Kevin if it were to work out. Hell, I want to meet everybody! I believe I have heard of him. If he works in Boulder or Denver, then he probably knows friends of mine.

I already have made contact with one Escape owner nearby. Actually two.

After all the welcoming threads here, I want to personally make it my mission to meet as many of you guys (non gender specific) as I can in May.

Thank you very much.

CONGRATS on the retirement and it sounds like you still have plenty to keep you busy. I'll take that beer one day myself so let me know when you headed to Georgia.

Enjoy the journey,

Steve

Congratulations, you made it to the non-working group. When I was employed we traveled alot and I shared our trip info with friends and coworkers. People would always want to know where our next "vacation" destination was. Post retirement when they ask the same question, my reply is, vacations are for working people, we just take road trips now.

One thing you will really miss is the comaraderie with fellow employees and the use of the office xerox machine for those extra copies you need at home!

Hi: cpaharley2008...Yes those office machines do come in handy. I found if you want to destroy documents best to have triplicates made in advance!!! Alf
