Trailer Home Delivery

I'm having my trailer delivered to me here in western Ma. and Tammy asked that the hand off be made somewhere that Dave will not be blocking traffic. I'm thinking to have it delivered to the house, which is on a road that doesn't go anywhere so there is no through traffic, think of the cross piece of a U. It's a wide residential road with very little traffic.

Can anyone tell me how much room the delivery process takes up? Does it take up 2 lanes or just 1? If there was a convenient parking lot closer to the highway I'd use that, but there isn't. Has anyone had home delivery?

I had my trailer delivered to my brother's house. Nice wide residential street. Dave, our driver, only needed 1/2 the street. There was plenty of room for cars to pass by. One thing to keep in mind is that the semi truck/trailer (carrying 3 Escapes) is really long. Is there room enough on your street for the truck/trailer to turn around?

Here's a link to the delivery pics:

I found an old store, now closed. Has a large open parking lot with lots of space, and not far from the house. I think that's what I'll use.

I had the driver call when he was about a half hour out; I gave him the address of a store with a large parking lot where I met him at the normally unbusy end; made it a simple drive-in and drive-out for both as nobody had to turn around.

Dave needs about 30-45 minutes to unload, mine 2 deliveries were to my rear alley. Be careful of any low branches, trailer on top of truck is about 14 feet. He needs about 12 feet width and about 60' long as he rolls the escape of his long tilt truck bed. An empty shopping center parking lot would be best.

Thanks all, sounds like the street out front will work. I will have to check on the height down the corner though.
