My wife just informed me that she read my post at work.
I want to clarify that WE will picking up Our new 5.0TA.
In addition, my wife is a very gorgeous, intelligent, skinny woman
and I was in NO WAY implying that we might need additional support should she decide to relax/sleep in the front of the coach. I was simply inquiring whether people felt the tripod mount added to the stability of the coach as WE have never owned a 5th wheel before.

Well Rich, I cant say for the Escape 5.0ta but I found with my current small stick built 5th wheel it is nice to have the unit as stable as possible. And of course the support is not needed for your slender amazing wife but you may find some slight movement in the camper and it can help to have that support. Maybe others can chime in ....because mine is based on 15 plus years of camping in a stick built one and as I understand the "egg" type campers are stronger than mine.

Hi Rich,
My 5.0 TA came with a bi pod(two legs instead of three) and although we have not camped much in this camper i do see that the camper wobbles less with it than without. I would not bring it for a weekend outing but might if I was staying longer as it is more crap to bring and set up. I have been considering those chocks that sandwich between the tires as I have heard that they can really help to stabilize the trailer. I do know that when we left our scamp 5th wheel attached to the truck it was more stable and that is kind of like having a tripod or bipod.
My two cents
Ian
