TV wiring/jack antenna questions

I have the cable ready & Jack antenna options. There is only one cable connector at the tv location so I assume that the cable is linked for those two sources. I also assume that this setup is not compatible for satellite tv which is OK since I'm putting in my own connector & cable for satellite.

A quick purusal of the paperwork and I can not find any instructions for the Jack antenna. I know how to rotate it and I have an app to give me tower directions. There is an on/off switch, attenuator control and a row of red leds.

But switching it on does absolutely nothing - no lights, nothing.

I took the cover off and there is a single wire, I assume a shielded wire with the shield as the ground.

Is there something else I need to turn on, fuse to check, something I can do to troubleshoot?

On your antenna jack (wall panel) by the TV there should be a tiny button that turns power on the Jack system. Voltage then goes up your antenna cable to power your signal meter and antenna amplifier. At night you can see a red light on your antenna if it is getting power. The switch you found on the antenna base just turns on/off your signal meter and lights it is not system power switch.

You should also have an exterior coax connection box (cable ready).

Further to Eddie's comment, if the button on the interior is in the off position, then the jack will pass through the signal from the exterior cable connection. If your satellite has outside components, you could connect it via the outside cable jack. You could connect a set top box to the Jack interior connection if the Jack antenna is off.

Thank you - exactly what I was looking for in the instructions that I did not find. I now have the lights I expected. Next time I can't use satellite I'll see how well the antenna works. Hopefully better than the 2 lights at my current location.

That is good to know but hopefully tomorrow I'll get the cables run from my custom entry box for satellite, cell phone amp, etc. They will terminate at a 4-port F connector panel inside near where the equipment goes.

I have the jack and sat/cable ready. No manual was included in my package. I contacted ETI and was sent a manual in PDF form. That's when I discoved the small power button on the fixture. Very difficult to see it
