In Iowa, sometimes noted as the number one pork producing state, a pork slogan has been “Pork, the other white meat.”.
Locally, pork is relatively inexpensive, easily obtained, and many cuts are very lean. The cured meat, not quite so healthy though.

Dave, you beat me to it! I was going to mention how Jim often posts photos of the meals he prepares. I was going to note that he likely wouldn’t post photos of “scrumptious hospital breakfasts!”

Hoping Jim has a quick recovery and does not have any future complications.

One of the greatest marketing examples of the world. The marketeers successfully differentiated their product (pork) from the other RED MEAT (beef), and made a generation think pork is actually a white meat, instead of it being totally a red meat. Brilliant, in a diabolical way!

Get well soon

Hey Jim Norman,
There’s a zucchini out there in the garden with your name on it just like last year. Hope this bounty picture cheers you up. Picked this morning.

Sir, there are some things that a gentleman of British descent does not make jokes about. That includes the use of copious quantities of ketchup with such British culinary delights such as Bangers and Mash.

Yes, there is a difference between our humour, which tends to be more dry and witty and your humor which tends to be a bit more slapstick.

The thread is about Jim, it should be about Scrapple, Spam, purple beet eggs, Lebanon baloney, Mincemeat, but no, it's ketchup.

Since Canada was recently involved in “ The Great Ketchup Wars “ and that the Canadian PM just declared victory over the enemy ( The dreaded Heinz), I was not sure if you were attempting to be humorous or serious .
We only have ketchup in our home to satisfy our grandkids . My wife and I like most adults are partial to mustard , particularly horseradish mustard .

PS ; Jim , get well soon and back on the road
It ain’t a rally without you and your griddle full of hot SCRAPPLE .

The Three Stooges use copious amounts of ketchup. Now that is 'Slapstick"!

Garlic

Nobody has mentioned garlic. I’ll get some shipped out to Jim as soon as it’s dry enough to travel. Here’s some Garden Art by Iowa Dave. Jalapeños,
Garlic and sweet Bull’s Horn Peppers
Another version of the Holy Trinity.

Are you selling mail order garlic ?
We are having a hard time getting decent garlic , all we can get are some small shriveled heads of garlic imported from China
Price isn’t the issue , quality is and your picture says it all !

Thanks
