Just got back,,,
Houston to SeaTac, rental to Chilliwack.. Avoid customs on I-5, wait time was over an hour. Entry through Abbotsford Is a lot quicker.
Seattle traffic was not any worse than Houston!
Great Trip!

Entry through Sumas is quick too and then it's a straight shot to Chilliwack.

Hi: Donna D... The Border Security is going to become suspicious about all the crossings to and from ETI. Must be something more to it than meets the eye...Eh? Alf

Actually if you're on the US side and tell the border guard you're headed to Escape Trailer Industries in Chilliwack... they smile. Coming back the other way, tell them where you've been... the border guard told me "they know their stuff for importing trailers into the US."

Dennis beat me across the border with Ten Forward during import. I bet everyone there knows him by name.

If you land in Setac you won't be avoiding traffic. Seattle traffic is worse than Vancouver. Technically speaking you don't even go to Vancouver. Richmond to Chilliwack via Hwys 99,91,17 and 1 to Chilliwack is a piece of cake before 2:30 pm weekdays. 2 hours max. If you are in a bind send me a PM and I'll pick you up and drive you there and back for free. We had a fellow from Denver stay with us twice for over 2 weeks when he ordered and picked up his 5.0. I would do whatever is least expensive.

We were in Seattle in July and took one day for a quick trip to ETI. I didn't think traffic was all that bad, and the drive was beautiful. The crossing guard asked why were coming all the way from Missouri to look at a trailer, then made us go inside and wait awhile. He must have not liked my answer.

FYI

Using an award ticket from San Antonio to LAX to Vancouver. Mid-week arrival, after the morning rush hour, so traffic from Vancouver to Chilliwack might be moderate, but probably not that bad.

I've been flying so much lately for work that I have quite a nest egg of miles. First Class? I can't complain.
