Warranty Issue?

High Winds Rip Roof Off RV as Tropical Storm Nicole Approaches Florida

Instructions: 'Contact an RV dealership. Get a repair estimate. Fax us the repair estimate. We will relay the estimate to the blah-blah team and get back with you soon on whether it will be approved.'

Take it to Camping World.

Pay for the estimate before hand.

Wait for the denial of claim.

Purchase a good weatherproof tarp.

Buy an Escape!

It’s a rubber sheeting roof. Could have been a-lot worse.

Florida State Parks closed down yesterday and kicked everyone and their RVs out on the roads. I was at one. I went in and told the park manager I had no problem leaving the park with my wife, but, felt that requiring me to tow my trailer in what at that point was an inescapable tropical storm not only risked damage to my trailer, but, to my wife's and my physical safety. The park manager agreed to allow me to leave my trailer in the middle of a large parking lot where no trees can fall on it. Nicole went pretty close to where it was left, I'll let you know how an Escape fares compared to that RV.

One of my favorite YouTubers recently released a video that portrays his experience riding out Hurricane Fiona inside a Trillium Outback. The real fun starts around the 32min mark.

I wonder how well a conventionally-built trailer would have fared in the same situation?
