Funny! We're TRYING to just steal stuff from our Casita and move it over, but that is very tempting. I mean, new camper, new stuff, right ?

One concern, and one thing I'm running into, is finding lodging near Chilliwack the Sunday night before we pickup. We will be traveling with our small ( 18lb) dog, and I'm having trouble finding a "pet friendly" place on either side of the border. Is it feasible to stay in the US and run across the border Monday morning to make a 9am appointment at Escape ?

The Best Western just down the road from Escape is pet friendly as far as I know.

Best Western in Chilliwalk welcomes pets. It's pretty much right beside ETI.
Good food, good stay!

Be certain to let them know at the Best Western you're staying there because you're getting an Escape trailer.

We had a really nice room there, right next to the laundry exit, I could take the dogs out at night without going down the carpet halls, the exit door was right next to our room. The night staff leaves it unlocked for the smokers to go out. The room had wooden floors so any accident would clean up nicely. Breakfast is included, we got hooked on waffles while there. there is a nice bar (watch out for Canadian beer higher alcohol content) as well as restaurant inside and Tim Hortons across the parking lot. they let us check out late on pick up day so we could comeback and transfer all out gear from the truck to the trailer. Even with a 10:30 delivery by the time I got back to the room it was noon and we spent the next 2 hours unloading, checked out and got on the road at 3 pm. To avoid Seattle we took I5 south to Everett and then US2 east across to Spokane and I90 east.

Not at all. A new Escape is like a bride on her wedding day........something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!
Why replace perfectly good, proven to work stuff? Some of those things are like old friends. Besides, you don’t want to look like a newbie.

I bought some new linens (and, yes, they are blue) for the new Escape and that was about it. Did not buy a thing up there after picking up as we took a whole car load from the previous Escape. Already spent a little bundle on the first Escape!
Others stop by a Camping World, RV shops and big box stores and get whatever they need after picking up.
They may have had much already delivered to their door --- maybe bunches of deliveries ---after ordering. Yes, we did that for the 19'!

Maybe hope that you can move your delivery date up about a week and go to the Escape Rally in Osoyoos for the Memorial Day weekend, its a great opportunity to meet lots of fellow Escapees.
