Almost as bad as here in east Tennessee. Just the mere mention of a single snow flake (seen six years ago) is enough to instill wide spread panic among the locals. Emergency rations here are "light" bread and milk - gone in the grocery stores before you can say -SNOW! Local TV stations go into emergency broadcast mode with local live reports showing the tremendous (a light dusting) amount of accumulation. Schools are closed well in advance of the coming disaster based on the advice of (well informed) meteorologists. Local government officials declare emergency plans and start pre-treating the roads with salt. By the time it is all said and done, what happens? NO SNOW! Oh well, sure is fun to listen to all the tales of impending doom and gloom.
(Oh, by the way, I grew up in NW Missouri and ACTUALLY have survived a snow storm or two).

That's some pretty good stuff. I shared with my DD, who will surely love it.

Thanks Donna. Wondering if the cannibals have found any grass-fed humans yet.

Pretty funny! You have to remember Seattle only get snow about every ten years that sticks around and to the ground. In our neighborhood, there was a sledding party on one of the side street hills. Someone brought a Propane campfire and others bottles of scotch. Good times!

My drive this morning:

I ran in a half-marathon race last weekend called the "Hypothermic Half-Marathon". It lived up to its name again as the temperature was -28 deg C and in the -40's considering the wind chill. After running 21.1 km in those temperatures you have a real appreciation for the cold.

Congratulations, Dave! After 30 years of running my knees said, “No More”. Only biking and walking now. I feel for you though, anything under 60* F and I’m in a long sleeve T

Thanks That is Funny

I live on Vancouver Island, and here people are hoarding craft brew IPA, to trade for artisan cheese.

we live near sea-level and it has snowed about 8". the roads are a mess.
