That's beautiful! I am shopping for a metal roof carport for my 17, which has been moved to the front "lawn" while the pad is being prepared. It is weird to look out the picture window and catch the white off to the right instead of the trees.

Here is the before pic. Sure like having an actual garage rather than a storage unit. Thank you.

Did you replace the small garage and carport with the large carport? Looks great!

That looks really nice. Looks like there is room for a car to get by and park inside the garage also. Nice setup.

Yes, replaced old garage with 20x22 garage & big carport. Am loving putting 4runner in garage. Hopefully get better at backing trailer in the new shelter. Still plenty of room to wash & wax. Also now have closer power outlet. Love it.

Glad you were able to get the floor tiles - so cheap but such a nice result! We're still puttering away on our new 19, waiting for a chance to get out camping this summer. I'm still not clear on what we're going to do under the bed -- milk crates, big wood drawers, plastic bins...

Hot water heater and storage upgrades
Installed a hot water heater on my 17B. It never came with one nor does not have the shower built in to the bathroom, just the toilet. I doubt that we would have ever used the shower a small trailer due to the moisture issues. Also installed an outdoor shower unit on the drivers side. Not sure if we will ever use it as a shower either but it will come in handy for rinsing off dishes or the grand urchins.
Also built a small storage box to keep things from banging around and put in some cedar strips to hold cans from rolling around or out in the small cubby's below the sink and the fridge.

I added some LED tape lights to the trailer. Part of the reason was to see better into the cabinets. Still can't get the dome light bulb in, though.
The lights are stickup, battery operated, so won't be on all the time, but they give a nice festive light when I want it.

I added some strip LED lighting on the bottom of the rear cabinet and on the front valance a few years back. I wired them into existing lighting. Each strip has its own dimmer switch mounted in the cabinet. They really add to the light in the trailer very nicely. Might add a strip outside on the awning as well.
Replaced all of the original bulbs in the lights with LED bulbs as well. They were a little finicky but they did fit in well.

It seems Escape Industries was in a hurry to ship my 5.0 TA camper that they forgot to do a quality control check as well as clean the interior and exterior. They also failed to wrap the backend of the camper to prevent road debris from causing damage. Took me all day yesterday to wash it from top to bottom. Ended up with a few nicks in the fiberglass and a lot of tar that had to be removed. For those planning a delivery, be sure you request that they wrap the camper end facing the direction of travel even if it’s the second camper on the trailer. Mine was the second camper and it took a beating. Wiped down the inside today in between rain storms.

I did a little experiment last night. Unless I use the microwave I cannot seem to discharge the batteries to any appreciable degree.
Last night I went out to the driveway and turned on every light in the camper (except awning led). And I left them on all night long. At 3 in the morning I went out to check the battery level and it was at 2/3 full. Kept the lights running with the Maxx Fan. At seven am the Sun reached the first solar panel, I have two.
By 8:30 the batteries were completely charged with the lights and fan still running. I know there are other considerations for draw down but this system seems to be able to keep up with lights pretty easily. It also charged up other big batteries like my amplifier, which is no small task.

Yes the led lights and maxxfan and your refer on propane all pull very little, easy recouped by solar before noon. Your heater will probably pull the most, but with duals I doubt there would be any issue before the next days solar charge.

I don’t think it is fare to state that they did not clean the exterior when it traveled so far to get to you. Do you have specifics like glue or such other than dirt and tar that you would have run across if you pulled it home?

Do you have some pictures. I am thinking about delivery I would like to get a idea on what condition it may arrive. I don't like the sounds of nicks in the fiberglass.

Hate to tell Buckyver and NYHB, but once you start towing on the road, your Escape will not longer be new and pristine. Towing back from the factory is a good way to break in the trailer but also incur nicks and scratches going down the road. It will no longer be like the floor models. The good news is thy clean up pretty well to look like new easily again. Having a delivery is the same as you picking up, except no miles on the axles but still weather and road debris and dirt will accumulate. You will not have a dealer nearby that will clean it up for you like a new car, that is one of the negatives of not having a dealer network, but pricing is one of the positives. Don't ask me about getting behind a manure spreader one trip, the flies were all over the trailer.

Not exactly a fair statement. I suspect that the interior looked pretty clean when it left ETI. The initial trip it makes is sort a shakedown trip. There will be some sawdust etc. that will shake out of nooks and crannies.

Yup.
Could have paid extra and had it shipped in an enclosed trailer with "air" suspension, or ETI could have had it cleaned professionally on arrival, for an extra fee.
