I visited with my trailer
Today was the marriage, the shell meeting the freshly painted frame.
After we got the Trillium bolted up, I got to planning a few mods if the campgrounds ever open.

Wow!
I appears you like fiberglass travel trailers!
Super dooper nice shop space, and equipment in view, to boot.
Bravo, and plug on.

Today I opened each window a bit to release the pressure on the foam sealant around the window frame and allow some fresh air into the Escape. Hoping to get on the road soon. Tomorrow will hook up water and dewinterize the systems and wash the trailer. Then I'll be ready to go...

I'm getting ready to camp. Filled the water tank (yes!), replaced the shower curtain with a nicer one (though I could use a few more clips- anyone know a source?) put up a hanging organizer, started up the fridge on electric, trying some velcro to keep the medicine cabinet closed, figured out the propane tank holder was loose and fixed it. Still working on packing and provisioning. I still need to make a headboard, too, but have to locate a decent piece of wood.

Yup, I made my shower curtain wider and added a few more shower clips myself: https://www.amazon.com/RV-Designer-A...9302176&sr=8-5
Sounds like you're getting close to enjoying the great outdoors soon! -Bea

Thanks! Yes, going tomorrow. Trip one of five scheduled between now and the end of June. Probably one more in there somewhere.

I unboxed a propane campfire that I will likely leave at home because it will take up too much room in the trailer.

Jim,
Glad to hear that the weather and your health will now permit preparations for an outing. Any destinations in mind?
We just got back from Townsend, TN, where there were only 3 Escapes and a few others. We continue to receive the lower price and have reservations for next April. Had memories of you being there as well as the Oracle of Iowa, and Mr. Blueberry Pie.

Glenn,
We have one of those. It stays home and so will probably last forever.
I did receive permission to bring along our six-month old Solo fire pit that was finally used and was well received. I have an unlimited supply of kiln dried hardwood manufacturing scraps that are perfect for traveling and burning.
If I use it for a few decades, it’ll pay for itself in saved propane.

I’m glad too to hear Jim preparing to be on the road again! Bill and Earline, I arrive at Townsend and Cades Cove this afternoon.
I use a paring knife 99.5% of the time so my big knives remain stowed. I just need the one handy while camped so made a little knife holder from wood from a fallen tree on my property and neodymium magnets.

We love our Solo stove and with my brother providing seasoned oak firewood from his property it’s a great combination.

Firewood
I have enough firewood to last me about as long as I’ll be making fires and after that maybe someone will use what’s left for a funeral pyre. It would make me happy in the afterlife to be “Gone with the wind”
Probably a violation of an ordinance.

A couple of days ago, I tattooed our trailer with it's name: JoMoE.
I'd hoped to have it ready for our first "Escape" this year, but Covid restrictions "suggested" otherwise.
But I'm pleased with the ease of the deed and the result...

21C Cargo Box
I added a 2'x4' "plastic" cargo box to the factory receiver. Weighs ~45 lbs empty. Stored Camp Chef grill and camp tables in it. Drove down bumpy road with a person following me taking a video. Absolutely no bounce.

We camped at Salt Fork for several days a few years back when we had the 19. That’s a nice park and when we stayed there it was very well maintained. My Son in law is from Zanesville and my ancestors are from Guernsey county when they opened the western Reserve. Good luck with your new Escape.
