I just replaced 4 of my 5 malfunctioning rear upper LED clearance lights on my 2017 E19. These problem Maximma lights were showing various LEDs out when turn/brake/running lights energized. the picture attached shows the shadowing inside the casing that corresponds with the water level. I have to think all 4 had some intrusion that shorted the LEDs.

An "intrusion" like in water? I've had the same issue. The LED's in several of mine shorted out because of water seeping in around the gasket. CPAHarley taught me a trick. He said drill a couple weep holes in the bottom of the lens. I did that with all of the exterior lights.

Isn't the point to keep it out of the Escape?

Do you drill one 1/8" hole? I took the removed light with the water inside and needed 2 holes to get the water to drain out. Also care needs to be taken not to drill too far and penetrate the bottom centre LED inside the housing.
I guess if the dry new light has 1 hole from the start this will probably allow any condensation to evaporate. I will need to be careful spraying upwards during my trailer washing!

Ditto. Take the lens off. Use a 1/8 bit. I can't remember if I then used a 3/16 bit to widen the hole.

$53, and looks pretty solid. Has rubber feet to keep the wood off the floor.

I’ve wanted a teak mat for the bathroom since I saw one in a trailer at the Spring NOG event. I’m saving this for my Christmas list.
Just changed the oil in the truck, and the trailer is ready to roll. No more changes before we head to the Mississippi River Ronda-whatever ( can’t spell it and neither can the spell checker)

Rendezvous, as in the French language word for:
A meeting at a prearranged time and place. synonym: engagement.
A prearranged meeting place, especially an assembly point for troops or ships.
A popular gathering place.

Ha ha, we take our front plate off in certain states. Had a Cool Hand Luke Warden type Camp Host once who was pretty aggressive and asking questions that Community Rules unfortunately won't allow me to list here.
In the past people would joke California is the Land of Fruits & Nuts. Now that perception is way worse in some locales sadly.

The perception problem works both ways, people definitely have different ways in different areas, always have, but now with media weaponizing it things can get annoying.

Yeah, we sure have some variety here. Most of the time I can appreciate differences. Speaking specifically about driving, sometimes when you see someone stopping at the end of the freeway on-ramp to wait for a gap in fast moving traffic, I get concerned and irritated. But, country and culture doesn’t make for us all being comfortable merging into heavy traffic at speed.

I’ll try not to drive like a you-know-what, and be polite an respectful of others and property. And hope no one shoots at us.
(I have a friend that moved to the sticks, and now carries concealed wherever he goes )

Where I live everyone carrying a gun chilled out many drivers, about a year or so ago that changed a bit. Now with Kia’s being free it’s getting to be quite exciting here.
The horn has been broken on my Tacoma for awhile now, I’m getting it repaired for inspection sake but I’ll be removing the fuse on it. I’ve found just letting people cut you off and move on makes for less friction in your day.

I had to lookup Kia’s being free. I don’t think we’re having that problem here, but we do have a serious issue with homelessness and mental health, oh, and sideshows.
Anyways, I wound using the vent caps you sent me a picture of. Thanks, they worked out perfectly. If you make it to the Mississippi River rendezvous it’d be great to meet up.

Hiya Neighbour we're in 67 right next door, from as far from you as anyone might be at the rally, Manitoba plates in our case.

Hi neighbor! I look forward to meeting you in person. It must be a great rally to warrant driving from Canada. I feel more at home now already, when we were in Canada in the spring, I don’t think most people noticed that our plates were California, not Canada. They looked a lot alike in BC.
Want anything from California? Within reason…
