I was allowed to work on trailer mods again so I got the TV swing arm installed. That corner of the closet feels like it has more than the usual 1 x 2 framing. Pretty solid but that's a good thing when attaching something an arm holding a TV. I through bolted it rather than use the supplied screws.

I was going to extend the arm but I can see it OK from "my" side of the dinette. I'd only be watching TV from that location if the news was on at supper time.

Still have to figure out which unidirectional antenna to get. The number of conflicting and contradictory reviews is making my brain numb.

I used these MR11 reflector lamps. in Warm White, which are a size smaller than the stock MR16 lamps but fit right in. The only MR16 lamps I found were too high lumen for me.

which is brighter and has a narrower beam spread, results here... (240 lumen on left, 100 lumen wider beam on right).... note the camera auto white balanced, and this is more what they look like when you're in the trailer without brighter cool-white lamps on.

Ordered 4 and was surprised how fast they got here 1st Class mail from MO. Huge improvement over the too white & bright stock bulbs. Thanks!

It looks like you can get these MR11s in red? What lighting mods do your make to the inside of your 21 when you are at a star party or simply set up somewhere?

I have an amber low lumen LED in one half of the ceiling fixture thats controlled by the door switch, I tried red but it was just too annoying.

I also use amber LED 'candles' as night lights in the trailer, this is the most effective.

this doesn't do it justice, but for a cell phone pic taken in near total darkness it will have to do...



its dim enough that I can go into the trailer, then step back out under a totally dark night sky and not have any impact on my night vision as long as I avoid looking directly at one of the candles.

That looks very bright, to me. My red led's along the floor are hardly noticeable unless you look down

Could I trouble you with a source for the ceiling fixture lights? In amber.

If there only was a way of installing a dimmer switch which would work with those overhead LEDs.

That's the main thing. The older I get the longer it takes to get dark adapted.

it in fact does fit in the existing wedge base, albeit a bit tightly. its been in there for a year plus and 1000s of miles including some really rough roads, so it seems to stay put.

John have had good luck IKEA fo the CR 2032 . About 8 on a card for less then 3.00 . Pat

good to know. but there's no Ikea anywheres near me, probably have to drive to Silicon Valley to find one. Anyways, I bought like 100 Panasonic CR2032's bulk pack (plastic trays of 25 each)... They have a 10 year shelf life.

side note, heh... you can jam a cr2032 in most things that call for cr2024's the one is 3.2mm thick, the other is 2.4mm thick, and 0.8mm ain't hardly much of nothing. the only thing is, once you've used a 2032, you should continue to use them, because the spring contacts might have gotten a bit more mashed.
