We also don't have any proof that ETI "failed" at quality control checks and cleaning the interior or wrapping the backend of the trailer.
Both my trailers have been clean when I picked them up but required some cleaning up of sawdust etc. after the trailer had bounced its way down the highway.
"Failed" to wrap the backend.... Was this something that was agreed to beforehand? Had ETI been informed of this wish?

He could have gone to Sumas and picked it up himself also.

Hey Billy! You beat me to knocking the smackdown! Hey Bucky- welcome to the Superfans and their intolerance of any wrongful dissatisfaction of ETI.
Despite this all- congrats and enjoy your new Escape!

It is not wrongful dissatisfaction of ETI, it is the wrongful expectations of having a spotless trailer that has just traversed the open country for more than 3,000 miles, delivered to your door so that you did not have to go and pick it up. I realize you paid a delivery fee but your time and inconvenience was avoided. I had 2 trailers delivered, none had any protective tape and one was towed from Indiana. Both were covered in road grime, but that just gave me an excuse to give it it's first bath.

Yup. Wrongful dissatisfaction is the issue.

It’s one thing to question a persons statement or opinion , it’s a totally different thing to question their honesty
To Buckyver ; welcome and I hope you enjoy your Escape .
I will tell you one thing , we have owned our Escape for almost two years and we are still vacuuming up sawdust and construction debris .

I assume those who feel they incurred wrongful dissatisfaction would have happily paid a $3500 destination charge to pick up their new shiny clean Escape from a nearby dealer lot?? Life sometimes has tradeoffs.

Since several of our planned Spring trips had to be canceled, I decided to do some work on our Escape
1) Added a couple of 120 VAC receptacles
2) Replace a blinking / strobing LED light
3) Fabricate a holder for the trailer’s 7 pin cord
4) Build some new stabilizer pads
5) Revamped the front storage box
6) Repair / paint spare tire mount
7) Replace broken latch - WH door
8) Drill some drain holes in the rear bumper ( How water gets in beats me )
9) Build some new trailer steps
10) Build storage boxes ( cardboard was falling apart )
11) Coating underfloor foam ( Need to jack trailer up further or lose some weight )
12 ) Started washing and waxing trailer
13) Reattached refrigerator vent door
14) ETC
Doesn’t sound like much but we had snow on the ground and ice on the lakes less than 4 weeks ago . That’s my excuse and I am sticking with it .
The problem is that we are supposed to have temps in the upper 70’s this weekend and then it will be too hot to work

Good list of completed trailer tasks, Steve. My list is about that long too, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do them.

My WeBoost worked well on my Ford Ranger. The magnetic mount stuck like glue to the roof, left it on full time. Great to have as it picked up phone signals earlier and held onto them longer as you drove through pockets of cell coverage. Great in remote areas.
This year, for Baja and with an F150 with an aluminum roof, I didn't bother trying to find a way to use it. But we missed it, we could tell the difference.
So I took the antenna out to the truck and wasn't surprised that it didn't stick to the roof. Then I started touching just about everything on the truck and I guess the advertising is true, it's definitely an aluminum bodied truck.
So I made a steel mounting plate and we'll see tomorrow how long we keep cell signals as we get into remote areas of BC. Really easy to test. Just take the phone out of the cradle as watch what happens.

For all those owner's with a 5TA or 21 with the "U" shaped dinette and are frustrated opening the battery case that is partially covered with the the bench.
I added a access hole to get to the hidden butterfly nut under the bench cover, this makes it so much easier to open and check levels, etc. I also made the hole larger enough to get your arm in to retrieve dropped nut or washer.

Washed the trailer today, first time since early last winter and about 4k miles ago, what a mess.
Tomorrow I break out the buffer.

I believe they are already moving the battery box a little, here are mine with access to both cover locknuts and I can add water easily.

huh, my U-bench 21's battery is easily accessible...
the bar goes across it, parallel to the long axis of the trailer.
