What I like about Escape Trailers...
Just want to express my thoughts after taking delivery this weekend of my new Escape 19'. A#1 Quality throughout out. I have owed 5 new and 1 used RV's over the past 4 years and have taken each one apart and rebuilt, not literally but modification wise. Other than the visual appeal, there are a lot of hidden qualities others may not recognize. For example, all the wiring is neat, attached, properly sized and is routed out of the way. Any control panel has a wooden back to protect from shorts. The plumbing is the same way, straight and neat runs, attached and out of the way. All quality products are used, no shortcuts, no wooden scraps or sawdust can be found.
I recently had the chance to inspect a new Parkliner and was appalled at these hidden construction items, they had no organization. Giving them credit, they are a new company, but even established SOB's have rat's nest of wires and plumbing and sawdust every where. It's these hidden items that what make a good product. Maybe the Canadians take more pride in their work, it certainly shows to this American.
Escape's demonstrate that time and care goes into their product and I wish to commend Tammy and Reace on their product and work ethics.

Re: What I like about Escape Trailers...
Although we have not picked our new trailer up yet, just a little over two weeks away. When i went to look at another 19 ft in our area to check it out i was amazed at the difference in build quality from other manufacturers. i too have owned many other trailers and have always had lots of things to "tidy" up on brand new trailers, mostly electrical that was done very poorly at the factory. I am sure our new trailer will be built with some care to detail so i won't have to do these things to it as soon as i get home.

Re: What I like about Escape Trailers...
What I like about Escape trailers is the 5 hours that Dave@Escape spent with us explaining how everything in the trailer worked. The only RVs we owned previously were VW camper vans (both Westphalia and Winnebago conversions), which had a stove and a fridge, but are much simpler than The Lark. It is a real investment for Escape to spend that time with new owners, but I think it is well worth it.
Compare our experience to our neighbors who purchased a new 25' Airstream. They showed up at the dealer, who helped them hitch it up and said "Have fun". they then spent the next couple of weeks reading manuals, one per night, and figuring out how things work.

Re: What I like about Escape Trailers...
We have also had a brand new fiberglass trailer from a Canadian Manufacturer , and think being Canadian is not really the reason the quality is as it is . It is surely pride of craft and talent combined with desire to create an excellent product , with a great management team and a focus on customer service .
When we took delivery of our last new trailer and pointed out a number of things that would be hard for us to clean up - such as a lot ( really a lot ) of brown dried glue along with rough cut plywood , bent interior window frame etc.
the response was - a surprised look and " that bothers you , it's just a trailer not a house " .
We understand the how one can buy a new trailer and then feel the need redo a bunch of stuff . We are so happy to know that this will not happen with an Escape Trailer !

Re: What I like about Escape Trailers...
Hi: All...What I like about Escape trailers is the "Fit& Finish". Inside and out, in the storage bins and cupboards I have yet to find a rough cut.
I too was taken aback at other so called "New" trailers where seams showed and the crude fiberglass work on the inside of the door wasn't very inviting.
When you see an Escape trailer taken apart it's obvious they're philosophy isn't..."Don't worry the trim will cover it". Alf
