What type of jack do you carry.....

In case of flats to your tow and/or Escape Trailer? There is a minimum clearance to place a trolley jack under the E19 axles by the wheels. I have called and left a message with the factory but was shopping on line and looking at jacks, made me wonder? My truck sits about 15" from the side frame less of course at the rear differential.....looking at 3 tons jack and stands combo on Amazon!

This. It would work for the trailer OR the truck. The jack for my F-150 is awful. https://www.harborfreight.com/15-ton...ing+floor+jack

I have an old, Sears Companion roller jack. Works OK, but does not go high enough to lift my Casita unless I put the jack on a stack of 2x8s first. It's a challenge to keep the jack from rolling off.

Jim, you're not lifting by the axle, are you? You have to lift the frame.

I have a BCAA card that covers the tow vehicle and trailer.

My Sprinter has a nice high lift double piston OEM hydraulic bottle jack works great.

I personally would just look at a bottle jack. It is real easy to place it between the tires under the frame. It is much easier to handle and way easier to store.

I have a 2 ton jack of that style and love it. The handle can also be used as a breaker bar to get those too tight lug nuts off or to fight off wild animals.

And yes, the F150 jack is a joke!

I'm thinking of buying a bottle jack. Recommendations? Preferably not Chinese.

Get floor jack extensions, so the jack stays on the ground, and the extension goes on top of the jack and under the saddle plate

Don't think this would work with mine—don't see a stem; has a frame that lifts.

The Anderson type levellers can be used to change a tire in a pinch?

Yes, that works for the trailer but doesn't work for any tow vehicle. Have you checked the jack for your tow? Most are awful, at least the one for my F-150 is. What a POS.

I like these types of bottle jacks...very small footprint for storage but a nice high lift, this one is over 16". Also easy to place blocks or something underneath if you have to go even higher

considering I've not had any sort of flat tire in many years, except one slow leak on the w'fes Mercedes when I clipped a curb parking at twilight, carrying a shop style floor jack certainly seems like overkill. I do need to get a decent bottle jack, my last one is ancient and no longer trusted.

Make sure you store it upright, not on its side.

IMO, the Toyota OEM bottle jack (mechanical not hydraulic) is the best lightweight, small form factor yet very capable (some models have 20" lift range) jack to carry along. I also carry a solid base and a U shaped removable top for non-slip lifting.

I carry 4 jacks and a stand. The thing about a jack is sometimes the situation and/or the terrain makes one type better suited for jacking up than another type. Nature rule number one: When it happens you are usually out there all by yourself. I never leave home without them - and wood blocks.

I just signed up for Good Sam Road service for one year. Anyone know if Good Sam is in Canada?

For the trailer (21C) I plan to just use leveling blocks to lift the other axle. For the tow, it just has a scissors jack but it gets the job done in a pinch.
