Dave, mine is a Chevy, not GMC, but it is green. It’s named Cruncher because when it had 2000 miles on it, a building fell on it. I paid 19K for it and GEICO spent 18.5K fixing it.

My encounter with Ginny was in about 1992 or 93. I’d say the pickup was early 70s. In this country that means the salt hat eaten about 1/3 of the body, the spare tire was in the bed because the spare tire holder had rusted off and wires held the headlights in place. If you get up Iowa way and we camp together I’ll finish that memory, the second half of our stay was pretty scary for me.

Mine’s not that old - ‘98. There are some around here still from ‘70’s, but not many.

gen Robert e lee's white horse, "traveler", went threw the entire civil war w/o a scratch, never letting him down. With that dependability in mind, my 1970 travco is named traveler. after 30 plus years of use (mostly local now) it has never more than threw a shoe (flat tire) !

If naming it after your wife, perhaps “Amazing Grace” would be appropriate.

In 1999 we bought a 24 foot fifth wheel and named it "Brighty" after my wife's favorite childhood book "Brighty of the Grand Canyon". We had a lot of good times in Brighty until it eventually disintegrated as all the stickies eventually do. When we discovered Escape and got our 5.0TA we started off calling it "Brighty Junior" since it's several feet shorter....that quickly got abbreviated to just "Junior".

Nice pics David.

Glad for you that you got a traveling companion that likes good literature.

Seems to be working!

I did drag my feet a bit before selecting a name. I wanted something that would both suit the trailer and my forum names as well.

I checked out Eggscape on both the Fiberglass trailer forum and here and to my surprise it was available on both. The birth of a name. Me second choice was going to be Edscape but never did find out if it was available on both forums.

Needing something to do while I was waiting for our trailer to be built in 2018, I ordered the Eggscape decals from Aliexpress. The vendor matched the font for me and I am extremely happy with the quality of the vinyl after 3 years of service. Not knowing that the vinyl was going to be that good, I ordered lots. But for about $ 10 a roll, which contains 4 Eggscapes they were not that expensive.

HI Ralph
What would life be without one time memorable occurrences? As I get older I recall those minutes and hours when I had an experience that at the time I thought I would experience several times in my life. But the years went by and most of those good times became “one off”. But when we are at a rally or just camping, I usually come away with one or more “observations”. Some days are diamonds and some days are coal as the song goes.
We’re doing great, enough food, fuel and water to last till spring. Tractor backed in along the the Escape and plugged in, snowblower ready to go. The only thing suspect is my back.

I’ve noticed a number of new Escape owners from Ohio of late. That’s a good thing. Hope all is well with you and trust you are keeping your nuts torqued with that premium wrench you won.
All the best,
Iowa Dave

Yeah, we like it. We still get comments about it everywhere we go. I'm sure there must be other RVs with the same name but we've not run into them.Click image for larger version

I think my appreciation of your trailer name goes back to the nuns who beat the odds and managed to educate a few of us back in the day.
Great name!

Our 19 is named Seymour (See More), which is why we bought it - to see more of North America up-close and in-depth. Mr. Peabody and Sherman are the TV's that get Seymour from place-to-place. Really enjoyed some of the other creative names members have for their units.

Mine is Toad. I wasn't aware that that term was in use by motor homes dragging a vehicle. And, I don't care.
My wife still calls it "the tent trailer".
