No some of us are still around, we pick our trailer up in another week or so.
I think everyone else is at the Ft. Langley meet.

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Just back from the Fort meet.
Weather actually co-operated...T'was a nice time and I think there were 65 trailers......

Great time for our maiden voyage...although an issue with our vehicle---turn signal doesn't work on one side of the trailer lights---it did when we hooked it up to Dirks--so off to get it fixed tomorrow. And thankfully it did on the way out there when I was driving!!!

Love the new 19's GREAT trailers and GREAT people.

Escape owners are the best!!!!!!!

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Hi: amirie... Did it take longer to git home cause you could only turn one way : Probably a simple thing with the tail lights. That's why I converted our former Boler to LED's... to eliminate the bulbs with filaments!!! The 5.0 has got soooo many tho...

Been twiddling my thumbs wondering what the new 15 footer will look like. Guess I have a long wait huh late 2009 maybe
Anyone know if the first 15 shell from Trillium (tom) has reached the Escape shop yet? Last i read, that was the first step in the process.

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Hello all!
I too am un-camped....but not for too much longer. The end of May should find the "Suite Escape" hatched. She is also destined to go to the "Bandon Bash" in July.
I hope some one posts pictures of the Fort Langley Escapers and Escapes.

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Took the Ford Escape in to the hitch place this morning and they said nothing was wrong and it had to be the trailer, but they took all kinds of things apart. So I hooked it up when I got home and "no go" for that one turn signal again..

When the neighbour got home I hooked the trailer up to his truck and everything worked 100%...

So I am going to take the vehicle and the trailer down to the place tomorrow and they can figure it all out.
Apparently our other neighbour had issues with his Ford Windstar and his boat trailer----something about needing a different adaptor or something...
T'was at the same place so I will remind the guy about that situation...

Nice to know that it has happened before and it isn't the trailer....

Oh yeah, my lettuce froze (a little bit) this weekend and Reace suggested a small battery operated fan that circulates the air---so I went to the RV place near us and got one that runs on "D" batteries... It is called a "Fridge Airator" and also has a charcoal filter for absorbing odors.... Made by "Camco RV" I sure loved the bigger fridge...(even though I only had a couple days food (and beer and wine!!!!)

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Todays update on the turn signal issue.
Doug hooked the trailer up for me last night (no equalizing hitch as I was just going across town)
Took both Escapes in to the hitch shop this am and less than half an hour later it was all ready to go. (I didn't even finish my coffee at Starbucks!!!)

What it was is it was a factory installed 4 prong wire for the lights etc and they "plugged in a 7 prong becuase of the trailer brakes. There was a wire that wasn't very good and so there wasn't enough power going to it to operate that signal light?? So, they cut off the 4 prong and just hard wired the 7 prong into the factory wires and it works FINE!!!! So if we need to have a 4 prong for other towing I will just buy one of those adaptors from somewhere.... So a no cost solution and i am glad we figured out what it was....

AND, I backed up the trailer by myself in to its parking spot and unhooked it all by myself!!!!!!! YEAH ME!!! We live on a fairly busy street and I was really worried about blocking traffic and only one car came by and he only had to wait a short minute.
I did scrape the hitch a bit on the bit of an incline we have, but normally we would have the equalizing hitch on and it would be higher..(sure wasn't the weight of the Canuck flag making it heavier!!!!)

NOW, to back into a campsite!!!!!!!

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Congratulations to you! Backing up a trailer can be a real challenge. Especially when it is not an everyday occurrence. Glad to hear the light problem is solved too.

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Hi all

Gary and I are in Banratty, Ireland on a 3 week holiday. The poor Escape is home in Terrace anxiously awaiting my arrival home so I can begin camping season. I miss regularly checking in at this site to see what's going on. Back end of May.

Re: Where did everybody GO???

Sounds like you are having a good time. Have you had a chance to tow the 19' with your Sienna? If so, how was it? (I am hoping Tammy or Reace does not read this and think I have eyes for the 19') Will you be in Oregon in July?

Re: Where did everybody GO???

You are probably right. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/in...p?showforum=93 I don't know how to do Jim's word links, but hopefully you can get this one. It is on the FGRV Forum under the general topic of Rallies, Get Togethers and Molded Meets. It is in Bandon, Oregon in July, from the 16-19. There even is a campsite link so one can post their space so others can see.
