Who did we see . . .?

Who(m) did we see today about 1:45 p.m. on the Sooke Road opposite the Luxton Fair Grounds, inwards bound towards Victoria? Looked like a 17, towed by a small dark SUV, with a canoe or boat on the roof. The driver looked like somebody I've seen on a podcast.

I chose to stay home this long weekend and listen to the sound of rain on the patio roof ( despite the forecast for sunshine ) and the sound of the Old Bag asking why she quit her job so we could go camping on weekends and haven't.

I'm just not that keen on joining the throng on Friday evening, trying to escape the city. I have to say, I quite enjoyed listening to the traffic reports detailing accidents and traffic backed up for miles, while sipping a brew and watching my grass grow.

Spent Sunday afternoon playing in the trailer in my driveway, sorting and stashing and removing some of the accumulated stuff. It's amazing how much a dozen magazines weigh.

And, this afternoon, when the sun came out, I mowed my lawn.

Hi: All...OK!!! Who(m) did we see? Today May 31st. east bound 401 near Trenton Ontario. We were going west without trailer ... ESCAPE 17 pushing a silver pickup with a cap over box. Looked like trailer had new graphics in light blue or silver. Bicycles dangling from the rear. It's our first ever on the road sighting. Alf
