Who were you in Woodstock, Illinois....?

This afternoon, some time after 2 PM, we passed a nice-looking Escape fifth wheel on Hickory in Woodstock, IL when we were riding our Lectric bikes. We are molded fiberglass camper owners with a Bigfoot Silver Cloud.

Who are you?

I was too young to get to Woodstock from Texas on my own, and my parents would never permit it.

Oh sorry I re-read the question - not Woodstock NY, Woodstock IL - nevermind

LOL! We do have a claim to fame though. They filmed Groundhog Day here, and you can visit all the spots in the film. Each year, we have our own Groundhog Day celebration on the Square (where the polka band played in the movie) with a groundhog named "Woodstock Willie."

Hi Cindy!
That was me Ric Garcia taking our Escape 5.0 over to Lake Marine for winter storage. I remember you guys waving as you went by. Looked like pretty cool bikes!
We considered a Bigfoot (great trailers) but the liked the floorpan on the Escape better. We purchased our trailer in May of this year and have loved it so far.

Well hi there, Ric, and welcome to the molded fiberglass family. I bet you thought who were those crazy people on Lectiec bikes waving frantically at you. We know the molded family well and have owned a Burro, a Uhaul VT, and now a Bigfoot 28-foot camper. We live on Highland Ave. One more day, if you drive by number 522, you will see our Bigfoot Silver Cloud in our driveway. We are taking it to storage on Washington tomorrow. We have kept it in the driveway since we moved to Woodstock 4 years ago, but we are having porches built on our house, and the builders need our driveway.

Glad to see a fellow molded fiberglass fan in the neighborhood. BTW, we host a camper rally in NE Iowa, this year in late June, if you would like to bring that spiffy Escape over to Northeast Iowa to Pike's Peak State Park in McGregor, IA, right on the Mississippi River. Watch for our announcement later this week. We checked out the campground last week, and think it might be ready to go by June for our rally needs (It is under renovation.). It is called the Pink Elephant rally (Hubby played and sang at the Pink Elephant Supper Club in McGregor, IA 40 years ago, where the rally began before Covid hit hence the name, plus there is a second meaning of "Pink Elephant." There is a winery nearby and a brewery that can cause floating pink elephants if you imbibe too much, LOL.)

Enjoy that spiffy camper! It would have been the alternative had we not found the Bigfoot Silver Cloud.

We are practically neighbors, over on Greta Avenue.
Thanks for the info on the the Pink Elephant Rally, sounds like fun. We will keep it in mind come spring.
