12V Drops needed in Escape 19

We would like to set it up so that we can put our iPads, phones, etc. in an upper cabinet to charge them, out of sight. Do we need to request 12V drops in the upper cabinets or can we access existing wiring? Assuming we should request a 12V drop for under the bed area to add a light.

A lot of the wiring is accessible and adding 12v outlets easily done, but if your are not that handy, you can add some to your build sheet.

Order the drops...my advice

I've added interior LED lighting to most of my cabinet interiors. Although it is possible to tap off of existing 12V lines, it is a PITA. On my 2016, they were very frugal with wire length and there wasn't much slack to work with.

My 2 cents.

Power shelf

We had ETI add 12V DC drops in the overhead cabinets in all four trailer corners, and we're glad we did, as we've used them all.
For charging, we added a suspended shelf under a cabinet over the foot of the bed, with 12V, 5V USB, and also 12V to a wifi repeater.
Edit: construction details. IIRC, 6-32 threaded rod, with elastic stop nuts and fender washers. visible rods are covered with 1/8" black drip irrigation tubing. Size of shelf was based on the size of 2 pieces of 5mm lauan plywood scraps I had. Glued them back to back for rigidity.

When ETI built our trailer I had them put 12V drops in all overhead cabinets. I then installed LED strip lighting in all cabinets and the shelf over the dining table. Makes it really easy to find stuff, but for us even more importantly gives off a really nice ambient light through the opaque plastic panels in the cabinet doors. We seldom use our overhead lights as the ambient lighting is sufficient for most activities. We do use the light over the kitchen often though.
