19er modifications

I've posted some photos in the Gallery under the title "19er modifications" in "User Albums" -- hope I did it correctly. The Egg Nest didn't need anything major to make it the way we wanted it, just some small convenience stuff. I thought the Gallery would make a good central location for such photos, especially for new owners. I'd also be curious to see what others have done to their trailers in a similar manner.

Took me a minute to remember where the Gallery is! I like your very practical touches, Bruce. (I ended up with 1/3 of a roll of t.p. on the floor after our last trip.)

Re: 19er modifications

A very simple, practical solution to the TP unrolling, is to put the "charmin" move on it! That is, squeeze it good and hard, so that the paper roll inside isn't round any more, but oblong. Won't "roll" that way, or unroll in this case!

Good stuff Bruce. That is a good place to put photos like that.

Re: 19er modifications

That is nice "stuff". All looked like inexpensive mods that are creature comforts. What is unsaid is how satisfied you were with the:

1. The standard configuration of the 19.
2. Your ability to have factory made modifications.
3. Your choice of those modifications.

Re: 19er modifications

Sorry for the delay in responding, Fudge Brownie. I've got to be a bit more attentive to post responses. Anyway, to respond:

- We (me, my wife and the dog) are very happy with the standard configuration of the 19. I am a bit curious though, about the dual 6v batteries now mounted on the tongue. Looking at my 19, I'm not seeing how they'd fit, even if the dual propane tanks are mounted transversely. We don't miss the room they take inside. Anyone with a picture? Reace?

- From my research and talking with owners of different brands, I don't think you'll find a manufacturer more willing (and able) to make mods than Escape

-I'm happy with our choices of options and mods. We got most everything, the philosophy being that 'it's better to have it and not need it that much than to really need it and not have it'. We've used all the features we ordered at least a few times. We didn't get the TV, stereo, screen room, custom cover, gaucho bunk or 3-burner stove. I've wished once or twice we'd ordered the 3 burner stove, though.

It's snowing outside right now, and the Egg Nest is winterized and under its carport and I'm fantasizing about towing it someplace warm...

It's raining here, but the fantasizing is in full bloom. Just came back from cleaning Hokie a little and putting up a couple of Glenn's "Command Strip" hangars. Ready to go!
