Glad to hear it. I wanted one from day one but figured that it was not worth it to send a jack up to Escape because of shipping. They only used a certain jack. Well, if I had known back then that it takes ten or fifteen minutes to install a jack, we could have taken the one we wanted up with us and they could have done it then maybe.

Could someone here confirm that their electric jack has a
2 1/4" shaft for those who want to order? I am assuming that all Escapes have the same size shaft. There are other shaft sizes sold. We were told that ours is 2 1/4" and that is what it looks like to us.

Pat, you ordered the right one for the measurement, the 3500. We ordered the "wrong" one. I do not know if that makes a difference. The shop measured it and we ordered in the shop but we forgot about that and were looking at the tongue weight. Since 3000 is far more than enough, we ordered that. The shop owner was showing them to us and none of us looked at the one we were ordering having a smaller diameter.
Ours fit because the hole is bigger than what we ordered and the flange is the same size as the jack. (Someone else would be out of luck if they had a 2" diameter and ordered the
2 1/4".) Don't know if the bigger hole can become a problem. So others should order the 3500 with the 2 1/4".

Here is the electrical box on our 21', under the bed. Some others may have theirs on the frame. You can see the black tank.

finished install today of our new power jack . Very easy install was suppose to be here Wed, then Tues, Then Mon Then delivered Sun . Post Office added a few feet of wire , ran wire along driver side frame , drilled hole in box brought wire in , contacted to battery post . Done Instructions say you can move head if you need to . They included tool , loosen head and turn , retighten set screws . Had to because it was tight up against propane cover and the propane cover was shoved up against the box . Now there is clearance . We have a separate Calmark cover for our box and couldn't"t get in on easy . Now we can . I guess at 71 should have things a little easier . Electric Jack Pat

Yes Jim . In the instructions they tell you can . It makes no difference to operation . Too tight to propane cover which jammed cover to box . Pat
