21 Woofer cave

Added hinges plastic dividers to create a cave with the table top. The dividers are held in place by the cushions; not attached - when not in use they tuck under the cushions and don't block access to the storage.

Working on a bigger one to surround the bed and act as a room divider; whole point is to keep dirty critters off the bed and seats when we're not there.

I did not know dirty critters were an issue, is this something new in the NW? Never had any issues here. Where do you keep your cushions and mattress when not in use?

We camp year round in the Pacific North Wet. Wet dogs are better at floor level.

We never remove our cushions or mattress; don't need to if the dogs can't get on them.

Saw the title of the post and thought it meant that you'd installed some humongous sized sub-woofers etc.

I understand now, your critters are domestic....

Me too- could just see Charlie cruisin' through the campground - his trailer bouncing up and down with his hydraulic suspension

and small.

That would slow down Molly (my avatar) for about 30 seconds. Unless, it made her decide that our bed was preferable.

LOL... that was my thought too.

At the risk of being chastised for being smug, I find it WAY easier to train the dog to stay off furniture unless given permission to come up. As with other training, a bit of work during the first couple months of their life, allows for many years of enjoyable coexistence. It just seems easier than a life time of working around the issue.

We've found the easiest way to not have the dog get on the cushions is to not have a dog....
The kids on the other hand have been difficult to train not to get on the cushions.

Just raise them as outside kids then!

Works for dogs, not so much with wives.

Mine encourages the dogs to lay on the dinette to stay out of her way.

Yet another advantage of the 5.0 TA. Beady eyed minituare schnauzers cannot make the leap off the top step up onto the bed.

Lori spent all last camping season putting foam matts together so the dog could get onto the bed, nothing worked. She wanted me to build a ramp. I just smiled and shook my head, no. Scott

Reminds me of a friend long ago saying " raising kids? No problem- I raised/trained German Shepherds. Seems like a lot of truth there

There are definite parallels there. Many of the same training techniques can be employed. Have you ever noticed that folks with well behaved dogs, have well behaved kids?
