5.0TA Ball Cozy to Help Backup to the Andersen Ball

When we changed from our 2015 extended cab F150 to our 2019 quad cab F150 the back window moved back another foot from the drivers seat and I could no longer see the ball when hooking up the camper. I needed Terry to guide me and that was tedious. We tried finding cups to fit, but they would tip off easily. I knew somewhere I'd seen a flag, but couldn't find one.

Then Terry decided came up with a crazy idea to knit a ball cozy to go over the ball so I could see where I was going. I thought this was stupid, but let her knit one anyway. Her first one was perfection! To keep the cozy erect she added plastic bags and they work perfectly. I've since used this at least 7 times and every time it works great.

This is what I now see from my drivers seat (the camera was low and I actually see more of the cozy).

What the cozy looks like when I start backing:

The cozy tips forward to let me know I'm getting where I can stop the truck:

Remove the cozy:

A perfect landing:

Enjoy,

Perry

EDIT: Terry made me change the wording from c0nd0m to cozy.

I see a cottage industry rising up, next stop, Shark Tank. The colors should excite many.

I think it should be named The Cozy Coozy. Their sales slogan could be
“When you need a solid hookup use me.”
