5.0TA Propane Tank Compartment Bottom Flange Protector

Loading a freshly filled propane tank into a 5.0TA is difficult because you are stooped over and it is heavy and hard to lift. This makes it likely that the weight of the tank will damage the weather stripped flange on the bottom of the propane tank compartment. I solved this problem by cutting a kerf into a 2" X 10" piece of pine so it will fit over the flange when I am loading the tank.

Excellent idea. I've whacked the opening a time or two. Fortunately little damage. When people ask about putting in 30# tanks, I think are you crazy!! 'course that's just me and I am....

For me, it would be my back saying, “Are you crazy?”

Enjoy,

Perry
