Adding an Outdoor Shower to existing trailer

We have a nine year old 17B and would like to add an outdoor shower. Is that possible and has anyone done it?

I did it on another trailer but not an Escape. The new style hook up is small and compact, maybe 6"x6" and maybe 6" deep. You will need access to water supply, like under the sink for cutting pipes and installing "T" shut off valves and hook ups. This is similar to what is in use now

I got my exterior water valve from Escape when I got my trailer, as I wanted to do some remodelling and install it myself after done. I mounted it at the very rear of the galley, as far from the door as possible and this has worked out great for us. It is a very useful item for cooking and washing dishes. I may even use it as a shower some day, probably not though.

You could contact Escape to see what they would sell you one for, they are generally quite good in their costing of items like this, though shipping can always be an issue. I imagine you could find the same unit online too.

I added one to the passenger side of our 19. Lined it up with the plumbing under the sink. Here is the thread:

By the way, it could have been mounted lower and not interfered with the exterior graphics if I mounted it lower and piped it differently. I have a gravity drain set up and shutoff valves to be able to winterize it and still run the water system.

Those with an exterior shower. What have you done for a privacy curtain? Looking for design ideas. Should be easy to deploy, take up minimal space when stowed and relatively uncomplicated.

Can't help with curtain, but I take the all-weather floor mat out of the rear foot well of the RAV and use that to stand on so that mud doesn't splash up on the legs.
Another thought; you could just wear a blind-fold while showering.

I have never actually showered using on. The driver side one on our 2009 19 got used about twice as it was often in the trees, on a slope and mounted too high to use for cleanup.

But, on our 5.0TA with it mounted just above table height on the passenger side, it gets used a lot. Would never want to go without one there.

I got a suction shower head holder ( similar to shown ) and suction towel hooks in a pack from Escape. Could mount the head high or low.

Well it's quiet, and the neighbors don't bother us, plus they don't even post a short-term rate.

The one time I used it because there were no showers where I was camping I wore a bathing suit which gets wet all the time anyway. And like someone else stated, I stood on the artificial turf outside doormat.

I mounted the tisken suction showerhead holder on the window above the exterior shower on my 2006 17b. Its held on for a couple thousand kilometers, summer and winter, and a 7 year old boy yanking on the hose. And it's only $3.00
We have other tisken suction accessories we use as well for towels soap etc etc.

I just installed one last week .I bought the dura faucet that was mentioned.The box was to small for my liking,but I loved the faucet and spray hose .Its a good buy.The box isnt bad its just a small boxx.I took my Casita to the factory and had them cut the hole and install there bx and I used my dura faucet fit like a charm.I have photos if needed to look at.

I am planning on doing the same. My 2008 17B does not have an interior shower. It was built without the shower, but does have the toilet. It also does not have a water heater . That will be part of the install as well this spring.

I've never really missed the interior shower, moisture would be an issue I would think. Not so sure that I would use the outdoor shower much either, at least for showering but it would be handy to rinse down some things. Having it on the rear or drivers side will make the install easier and you would not have to deal with the water and potential mud issues as much if it were on the passenger side.
