Baby Crib

Hello Everyone,

My wife and I are looking for information on anyone who has set up a crib inside their trailer? We have an 8 month old boy and are hoping to bring the travel crib made by Graco. Also, we are wondering if those cribs could fit on the main floor space of the 13' or the 15' models? Thanks again in advance for any feedback at all.

What size is the crib? (I see several different models online.) My 15 is currently parked in my driveway so I could run out and measure to see if there is room.

I belong to a group that makes adaptive devices for disabled people. I've made adapted cribs for moms in a w/c etc. Most cribs break down into the individual parts quite easily. My suggestion would be; if the crib of your choice doesn't fit the space then simply get one from Craigslist for free and "customize" it to fit the space you have.

A friend who camps uses a Graco.

Graco Travel Lite Portable Crib with Stages - Walmart.com

They are plenty small and they fold up during the day for easy storage. I would imagine they would fit in any Escape model.

We used a small playpen for our kids when they were babes, and kept it up on a bed. Granted, we had a tent trailer, so lots of room on each end. A couple times before we got the trailer, when we still used a tent, the playpen worked great in there too.

We did the something in our tent trailer for our three kids and then one puppy. It actually worked well.

Sonnie, We have a 3 year old and a 18 month old. The youngest sleeps in a baby bjorn crib that we have setup on the main bed of our 17B and then my wife sleeps next to him. My oldest and I sleep in the bunks. Having the crib on the main bed makes it easier for me and the oldest to slip in and out of the trailer while the youngest is sleeping.

The graco travel lite crib will fit on the floor in front of the bed on a 17B, but just barely so it might be a tight squeeze in a 15.

I've saved a couple of crib modification pictures, but it's for a front gaucho setup, like a Scamp or Boler. And it's setup for two children, the youngest on the bottom!
