Thanks Rubicon327 and NW Cat Owner for posting pictures of the Smart Tile backsplashes. They look great. We don't get our 5.0ta until April, but I am dreaming up all sorts of ways to
spruce her up. The Smart Tiles was one of them. It's a Christmas present to get to see how good it looks. Thanks! Susan

Here is a close up photo under the light for anyone interested in the finer details. For those of you looking really close you might notice the SAM-1 range hood upgrade above. You can see the LED light (on high) and the slide for the internal damper near the back wall which is really slick.

Good color picks. Blends well with the counters. Susan

Looks super nice! I was thinking of getting Smart Tiles for about the last six months. Now that I've seen how beautiful they've turned out in two trailers, I'm definitely considering it for when my trailer is ready in Feb.

Smart Tiles and Peel & Stick are two different brands. Look at both of them to see which patterns you like. Get a test piece to see how you like 'em in the trailer when you get it.

And then have fun installing 'em. And even more fun sitting in your trailer, admiring how nifty your kitchen now looks.

And be sure to post photos when you do!

And for those that might have missed the photos of mine in another thread, here's a snap of it:

Smart Tiles has samples that can be purchased from their website. They are 3"x3" for $2 each.

Laura, it really does look great but I see what you mean about the bottom edge and the gaps due to the shape of your pattern. If someone is tackling this with a pattern like yours they might consider first trimming a square edge for the bottom tiles. You'll lose a little bit of the first row of tile but that's a small price to pay for a square edge and working with continuous pieces.

I finally did the backsplash yesterday on our trailer---same tiles as Dave (Rubicon) we have the light coloured formica---sure adds a lot to the kitchen area..

What a pain--thought the first two went up so easy, but then the stove fan, window over the sink and side window all got in the way! I envied Laura wide expanse of flat area!! Just went to the side window in my 17...

Took me a number of hours, but now it is done!

Dave - How did are the tiles holding up after a New Jersey winter? Wondering if the freeze cycle impacts the adhesive.

Haven’t had any issues. Still looks fantastic. The warranty literature just says to install with temps between 65 and 95F. There is no indication of a working temperature limit that I see.

Great to hear! I wonder if the flexible nature of the wall liner helps with temperature changes. I have seem some applied to older RVs that didn't seem to hold up after winter, although they were done over less than perfect luan walls.

Smart tiles

I put them up 2 years ago in the bathroom of our vintage motorhome and they are still perfect. No shrinking or coming loose...
