Barry's 5.0 Galley Rebuild

Borrowing Jim's Galley plan.

After spending 6 months in Pidgeon Forge, TN. work camping under the maple trees the camper was filthy and I was fed-up with two small drawers and a bunch of big open cavities in the galley.
After washing/waxing and removing everything from inside the trailer to clean it.

I stared at the galley and I just could not stop myself.
When I came to my senses this is what I found.

Well I've opened up a few hidden spaces but...........

You certainly have a blank canvas to work with. I'll be interested to see what you do with it.

I will use the plan from Jim, along with ideas from Chris's website. Add a lot of time, thinking, frustration, and I will complete the job. A pick of cabinets I built for my RC plane trailer. More to follow!

Uh oh, this could be contagious. It would cost me $$$ though as I don't have cabinet maker skills. Still, if I were to do it one thing would be make the counter higher.

As the main chef in the family, I would too. Not everyone is short, and there is space awasting!

Today I used the old counter top to mock up. Helps me find problems early. The sink is adjusted to the final counter thickness of 1.25".

Knew it! No custom galley should be without.
