Battery disconnect switch options

Forum members:

I am in the process of upgrading the electrical systems. I am looking for a new battery disconnect switch. There seems to be two options (with lots of different venders selling them) for disconnect switches. One choice is a quarter turn plastic disconnect switch found on Amazon for $13-$18 rated at 275A.

The other option seems to be a panel mount 15 degree rotary switch for $30 rated at 180A.

Your experience with either of these, or perhaps a better choice would be helpful.

I installed this one:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I liked the different mounting possibilities it offered (i.e., surface, semi-recessed, etc.).

Really, anything is better than the cheap factory switch.

I'm not sure, but I think I have never turned off or used the battery disconnect switch. I can see using if replacing the batteries....but other wise mine is on all the time.

Disconnect

Plenty of people use this switch. For example, when in storage, without 110V AC to maintain the battery charge.

YMMV
