Big drawer!

Wifey is a bit short so doesn't like having her clothes in the overhead cabinets; decided to put a 36 long by 12 wide and 10 high drawer under the 21 bed. Full extension 100 lb slides make it basically a linear suitcase!

I see you have a second side door so there is still access, I gave that option up for my electric furnace so I need at least one door to have access. Nice job....

The slides have a built-in detent at the rearmost position; takes a good tug to free them up, and a shove to the rear to lock them in place. I spaced the drawer front far enough from the inside of the door that while not traveling, we don't have to have the drawer shoved all the way in to the locked position.

I wish I could make a dovetail joint as good as you.

Thanks Myron. A good dovetail jig makes it simple.

Incidentally, I found the drawer handle at Loews - it's the exact same handle ETI uses on all the doors.

Nice. Exactly what I plan on doing. Did you make your own door, or was the door there already? I have a 19 with the bed in the front and plan on building a wider drawer. I don't want to build the door myself, but I'd like it to match the others.

Here's one option, post #12 (having ETI supply the door):

The door for the drawer was there but I added an identical door elsewhere. I think ETI charged $40 for it..........
