Sitting on the patio playing at half volume our Bose easily gets 12+ hours of playing time. Any louder than that it's just too loud.
Loud is good when you are playing all terrain bocce, throwing a frisbee or many other group activities. Sitting around the campfire we place it a bit away and the volume is only up to hearable, but not too loud. Darn guitars and qroup singers are louder. [emoji4]
If strangers are camped nearby we keep the volume down.

Hey now! Don't start picking on guitars. They are very fine instruments. When there is a problem, it is always operator error.
It is never the problem of the guitar. Besides trucks are louder most of the time. And we all love trucks.
Why would we play around the campfire if it was a problem?

There are always a multitude of answers on this one. Usually I am so gun shy that I don't bring them out much. I'm not sure what people will say. I definitely cannot keep up a daily practice routine while camping. It's just too much.
Although every time I do play one, people comment favorably. I think the problem comes in when some people think any level is too high of a level.
I was just kidding about the 'dang guitars' comment. I Love them too.
