Can you mount a BestGo battery pack on the side?

Working on the install of a BestGo 12v 400Ah battery pack - the plan is described here.

Since the battery is going under the bed in the rear against the back wall, it would be convenient to mount the battery on the long side down so it is easy to see the meter and connect cables.

I've searched the forum and the web but don't see anything about orientation. Anyone happen to know if it can be used on the side?

Crash: My inclination would be no but I am not certain. Your best bet would be to email Tony directly at Bestgo. You’ll have your answer in short order. tony@bestgobattery.com

The cells won't care about their orientation, but the structure of the battery system might not be suitable for mounting on the side. I agree that the manufacturer should be consulted.

Yes, that is pretty much what Tony indicated. He said it is fine to have on the side while stationary. But to put it top side up when it is being transported.

I will mount it top side up.
