Captains lights lamp bulb replacement

I replaced the way too bright and spotty stock lamps in my E21 with superbrightleds.com's MR11-WWHP6 ... These are so much nicer... Soft warm white with a 120 deg angle.

The originals are MR16 size, but the smaller MR11 reflector lamps fit just fine.

(Should we start a sticky on interior lighting FAQ?)

We appreciate your posts on the Captain Lights LED replacement bulbs. We followed suit - much prefer the soft warm white lights now. Thanks John! -Bea

Thanks for the suggestion. I replaced ours with the lamps from Superbright, much better. I never used the captains lights because the bright blue color made me crazy.

this is a brighter MR16 also in warm white that I've not yet tried. my wife found the ones above a little too dim to actually read by.

We've order two of each. The stock lights are unpleasant at best; we've been meaning to "do something" about them for months. =)

ok, got the MR16-WWSSMD-120 I ordered to try out on my wife's side, and I do believe I like it better than the narrower beam MR11 I'd previously tried on her side. its not quite as warm-white (3000K vs 2500K) as the MR11-WWHP6 and its about twice as bright, which should be sufficient for her reading books and magazines at the dinette. nice even 120 degree light.

edit: I'll take some more pics tonight of the various lamps and add them

I promised some more pics. These were taken w my Pixel 3a cellphone, using exposure lock on the center light.

1. Original (left) and MR11 dimmest warmest lamp I talked about above.

2. Better MR16 (left) w same MR11....

That last pic, I really tried to match the color balance to how I perceive it sitting in there at night.
