I’ve actually installed this in my 17B. I’ll post some photos in a week or so. I won’t be able to comment on cooling efficiency until the summer, but I can describe how I did it.

Any pictures? Did you go with the 5000 BTU unit? Wondering how this unit capacity is for the 17, overall noise inside and out, your placement, etc.? While I feel my mini-split heat pump is a great solution I am always interested in applications that might be easier for the average person to implement. Also if it is left portable and you have another use (garage, shed with workshop, etc.) that’s a bonus.

Dometic Cool Cat Heat pump

Our previous trailer had a Dometic Cool Cat heat pumpt/air conditioner that worked fairly well and was less noisy than the jet engine noise level unit that Escape uses. It was pretty small but does require access to external air via a vent in he side of the trailer. https://www.dometic.com/en-us/us/pro...ol-cat-_-20787

That's a neat little unit. I like that it can heat and cool as it is a heat pump with reversing valve. Heating only down to 30F though, but a single thermostat can integrate propane furnace control as well. Needs a 120VAC and 12VDC connection (controls). Requires 22-3/4" x 15" opening for exterior sidewall grille. I see that indoor air can be ducted or direct discharge. How was yours set up in previous trailer?
