Convection Microwave Fits!
We picked up our trailer this morning along with the convection microwave we had ordered through O'Connor RV in Chilliwack. We had been keeping our fingers crossed in hopes it was going to fit the custom cabinet ETI built for it as they had only the instructions, not the microwave itself. Well, it fit! We're very happy with the results of the flush mount cook top and microwave.

I'm impressed! That looks great - I really like the microwave trim piece. Is that a standard item or custom made?

It was part of the microwave - came with it. Still can't believe how well it all fit!

Love the stove top and the layout with the stove and sink swapped and no exhaust fan. I am seriously thinking of doing that with my 5.0TA. I also like the looks of the window and exterior shower moved back along with the sink. That setup is now on my "to be finished" build list.

Fantastic-looking units! Wow, I want some. Surprised that they even did it but they must have known how great they would look.

Great looking setup. That oven is a good solution if you have hookups.

When I read the thread title "Convection Microwave Fits!" I thought someone besides me was ranting about their microwave. But it looks good, though. Could you provide a bit of info on the convection microwave? Thanks.

Fingers crossed for you that ETI won't tell you they won't do this any longer. They did that with our sink, which disappointed a few folks that wanted the same sink.
And yeah, it does look nice!

I know what you mean, Laura. So I did specifically ask Reace if he will install the Surburban flush mount cooktop in the future. He said yes, he will be installing them as several customers are currently having them shipped to ETI. As a note, he said no on installing the SMEV flush mount cooktop because of difficulty in installing them. Perhaps there are other brands he would consider but the Suburban was the one we were able to get on short notice and in Chilliwack.

I'm in love! We ordered the same cooktop - thanks for the info! Gotta have that convection microwave! You guys have exquisite taste - great minds think alike - ha ha!
Have fun on your journey. If you have a moment can you send the info on your convection microwave?
Safe travels. Can't wait for our cross-country trip for pickup in July. Really excited after seeing your beautiful unit.
Best,
Lisa

OK, here's an update on the convection/microwave. Last night we had pizza from a pizzeria in Bothell, WA and had half of it leftover. We drove today from Bothell to Yreca, CA arriving about 6:30 pm. We got hooked up and preheated using the convection function, tossed in the pizza a couple slices at a time and voila! It was very good - not mushy like microwave pizza but nicely heated all the way through and the crust was very good - no sogginess. Yeah! We ran it all total for about 30 minutes to include preheating and noticed virtually no heat buildup inside the cabinet (we can remove the top drawer and reach into that area to check). Will be baking some refrigerator chocolate chip cookies in a little while. We decided we should sacrific any semblence of a diet in the interest of scientific testing - you're all very welcome.

Yes, Jim, hookups are pretty much esential to run it! Fortunately we've learned we can bake just about anything in a Weber Q grill when dry camping - have even done brownies and chocolate chip cookies in it (those are staples in our household unfortunately for my wasteline - in fact I consider them basic food groups!) Can't wait to see your rig when it's done - like everyone, I'm betting it's gonna be a beauty!

We purchased ours theough O'Connor RV in Chilliwack but since ETI doesn't install them, it had to ride with us back across the border. Was a bit of a pain since the truck was already full. We ended up collapsing the dogs' crates and having them ride on Linda's lap. For US customers considering this I would recommend just getting it through Amazon and leaving it home if you don't have the space to take it with for delivery. Installation takes all of about 10 minutes if you go real slow.
