Cover for a 5.0TA?
Where do you get good covers for a 5.0TA that fit well?
Hope all you folks are staying warm. Arctic cold here in the northern Catskills. Coming to work today, I passed 4 RV's heading south on I-87. A 5th wheel, a big travel trailer, and two motorhomes, both towing small vehicles. All 4 had Quebec license plates, and were obviously caravaning! Lucky people!

Frank, try Calmark. They'll make a cover for a 5.0TA that fits very well.

We're trying Frank, but it's not easy.

I had Calmark make one for our Parkliner, and while it was certainly large enough (overly so), I did not feel it fit as well as I would like.
A number of folks with Parkliners (which are all the same dimensionally, or at least were up to a year ago) had to send measurements to Calmark, which makes me wonder if some fit better or fit worse.
Are you saying Calmark has a cover for 5.0TA's that fits like a glove? The covers they show on various RV's on their website sure do!

Yes, I think they've made custom ones for the 5.0TA. They may already have the measurements. If not, you could take them yourself and send them along with photos.

That's exactly what they had me do with the Parliner, and if I remember correctly, they had done covers for other Parkliners. It seemed to me at the time that while they offer an exceptional product, they were completely unorganized. Other Parkliner owners after me also had to measure their trailers and send in pictures. They contended both before and after we got ours that they had never done a Parkliner and if they had, they did not know. Heck of a way to run a business!
Eggs in general are very difficult to measure. I was really wondering if anyone here has used an off-the-shelf small 5th wheel cover for their 5.0TA?
Thanks,
Frank

5.0 TA cover
We got a cover from North East Harbour through eBay that is adequate for our weather here on the wet coast. It was quite inexpensive (CA$159) compared to Calmark and the other better known brands, so if it only lasts a few years, I can get another. The fit is not great (too big), but it cinches up nicely with extra fabric pulled under the trailer.

Frank, you need to check with someone who had one made for the new body 5.0TA. Calmark has a laser measurement gizmo that they use to measure your trailer. The rub is you have to visit the factory. Might get lucky and find someone already did so.
The cover for my trailer is okay but far from perfect, but then I just sent the measurements. The bad area is under the loft where the sides wrap around the front, there's about 6' too much fabric. I complained about it and they said I could send it back for a refund, which I didn't.
Still, the cover is probably as good a fit as I could get.

several posted here they had Calmark covers for the new 5.0. i called Calmark and they said they had the measurements already for the new 5.0. The covers are very heavy -well made -and expensive so i didn't buy one. But i might in the future.
