Cover for outside water hookups?

Portable water and city water, I would like to cover it up and lock it. Anyone know the product, it'll be on our 2021 5.0 TA.
Thanks.

I wouldn't place a lot of confidence in whatever cover you find. Mine does lock, but so what?

ETI stopped installing the locking cover in 2014. I was a little miffed because when I saw it on a demo model I said "great, I don't like the unprotected fillers on my Scamp". Then I picked our 19 up and wasn't a happy camper that they'd switched to the exposed type.

Maybe I'm paranoid but if I had a choice I'd choose the locking cover.

They're readily available if someone really felt strongly about the issue.

Readily available and easily defeated.

Ron: Would this possibly work to solve your problem without full replacement of the water connection assembly?

Well if it was pried open you'd know if someone had tampered with it. I guess my wish for a locking cover started with my Scamp. It had a water filler that looked like a mini urinal. Always wondered if bored kids in the campground would think the same way.

They would do it but the whole assembly is only a few bucks more and I'd rather have the locking hatch style.

Heard that anecdote before. Trying to picture it happening. My four-year-old grandson might be keen, but he'd have to climb up on blocks to reach. I guess an NBA player wouldn't have a problem, but they're busy sinking baskets.

Seems it would be so much easier to pull the black and grey traps. , pull the break-away pin and throw it in the bushes, lock the safety chains together with a padlock, or lock the hitch itself with a locker combination lock . . . fill the cover lock with Gorilla glue...

Since we are not experiencing a drought or a shortage of water in the upper Midwest we have not experienced any problems with anyone trying to steal / pilfer water from our trailer
The major problem this time of year , now that it is starting to cool down is people stealing 20 / 30 lb propane tanks

My wife just likes the aesthetics of it being covered up not for safety.

You have quite the mischievous mind.

Over the years we've had our black water tank handle pulled a couple of times. After the first time I purchased a RV sewer cap with handle and carefully remove the cap. The black tank valve on our Bigfoot driddled fluid when first opened. I was glad I already had the cap with a handle.

Enjoy,

Perry

I've never suffered any of the 'vandalism' speculated in this thread, nor do I intend to live in anticipation of it, but that gizmo (previously unknown to me) is attractive just from a 'sanitary handling' perspective, so Thanks for the link.

(I keep following threads on this forum and eventually I often learn something new and useful to me ... I appreciate the forum, both for its 'entertainment' and its personally useful information! )

I don't know, it still looks like a mini urinal with a flip lid to me.

Me too so I installed the locking ring around ours . Really what prompted that was the plastic lanyard was broken and the cap was about to fall off . Pat
