Cubby Hole Trim

It seems I was chewing up the top and sides of the little storage cubbies, because only the bottom had any protective trim.

I surrounded one of the cubbies with 45 degree angle cut framing, but was not satisfied with the result. (Photo 1)

The completed project took only about a hour and 1/2. There were only 90 degree cuts and some routing out with a Dremel tool. (Photo 2)

I'm pretty happy with the storage cubbies now. (Photo 3)

Nicely done. Unfinished plywood edges are a little bush league.

I'm thinking that there's room for one more under the existing ones. Can never have too many cubbies.

We do need our cubbies. I know this alternate solution is a cop-out.
