I wonder why Escape stopped installing the curtain in the 21 when they went to the 2ndG models?

In our Boler we used a roller blind mounted vertically to one wall. You could pull it out and attach it to two different hooks on the opposite wall to adjust the size of each room. It was also mounted off the floor just enough that our port-a-potty could slide from room to room during the night. It was left directly under the roller blind divider during the night. This may help anyone in a 17A.
I plan to do the same thing in our new 19 so the granddaughter can sleep up front. The roller blind will be attached to the hinged side frame of the main door and stretch across to a choice of two hook on the bathroom wall. One that allows room to stand up when she gets out of bed...and one that does not. Hard to picture, but they will come this fall.

This thread is of some interest to me ( not because we are interested in a 21 for ourselves ) simply from a sewing/design point of view . I'm wondering if - since there is a possibility of a bit of backing up in the ceiling , why not consider the variety of pipes and tubings at a hardware store ( Home Depot or Lowe's ). There are white ones or grey can be painted , All kinds of elbows and strapping ideas to attach at cabinet/wall points or that ceiling area so that one may follow the shape of the bed . Rather that cutting off an entire angle of the room space . One could just as easily have two panels starting at each wall point to meet in the middle . Tabs , grommets or even rod pocket need very little clearance . One could close or open both or just one side . It could really be an attractive feature . Just my thoughts.......maybe it's already been done and I'vemissed it ....if so just ignore ...

Yup...pipes and shower curtain clips/loops. A little acetone cleans off any words on the pipe.

Personally I like the tension rods in nickel . We a
one over the door with a lined curtain for 5 years now also . I hate plastic and how it looks . I prefer wood and metal . Just me I guess . Pat

It's either the awning or the door that is different enough that there's not room for the curtain track. Somewhere on these forums there's a pic of that area, where you can see that it really wouldn't work.
Such a shame. I love that curtain. Obviously I can't ever upgrade.

Installed curtains
I finally got around to installing a curtain around the bed of our 21. I bought the Ikea Dignetet wire curtain hanger. I attached one end to the corner above and to the left of the bathroom door and the other to the top forward corner of the cabinet above the two drawer stack. Both places have reinforcement in the walls. I used small chain from Home Depot to drop the top of the curtain to allow the AC air to flow above it into the bed area. Here are some pictures.

Wonder if you could attach Bendable Curtain Track brackets using VHB Tape instead of screws? Video on flexible track.

Wonder if flexible track brackets could be attached to headliner with VHB tape? The rod & curtain isn't that heavy. I see many videos on youtube on flexible tracks systems. https://americantracksupply.com/prod...gory/bendable/

I wouldn't want to be the first to discover that attaching a track to the headliner causes the headliner to release and sag.

I thought about attaching a track to the head liner, my concern is that I would loose my balance and grab the curtain or catch the curtain getting in or out of bed.
Bigfoot uses a curtain track around their bed. I don't know how it is attached.

Bigfoot uses a sheet of plywood in the ceiling - they probably screw into that.
