Curtain for 5.0TA Loft
Saw the 21 curtain thread, in case anyone is interested here's ours on the TA. A lot easier then figuring out the 21.
1" closet rod ordered online, glued hardwood blocks inside the cabinetry to attach to. By the way, swapped the closet rod to 1" so we could use the Stay-Put clothes hangers.

Looks very nice! I've wondered about putting up a spring tension curtain rod to do that but it looks like yours is screwed in?

Correct, if you were to use the same spot for the spring rod as I did for the screw in brackets the plywood is pretty thin.
Just noticed you have a 21.
With the shaking these things take, I wanted something that wouldn't fall off. It's removable, like a closet rod, if needed.

We just used a 7/16" Kirsch tension rod in our Classic 5.0 and the curtains have never fallen down in travel.
The rod is close to the edge of the cabinet so there is framing there so it never seemed to be in danger of punching through the wood and I think perhaps the smaller rod does not require as much pressure to stay in place.

Nice installation, Bob.
Those are the same style of brackets as the ones I used, but your colour choice looks better for the Escape interior.
You can also use that for hanging laundry to dry (because it is securely supported).

Thanks for posting the photos, Bob. I've got this page bookmarked now! I plan to install some sort of curtain in ours and had been thinking about a tension rod. It never occurred to me about the thinness of the wall. I plan to use a thicker material in the (dim) hopes of drowning out a bit of snoring from the hubby that's sleeping on the dinette bed.

Might be able to thread the curtain directly thru the rod to close up the area above the rod as opposed to using hooks like we have. Ours was just for privacy, Deb is an early riser, like 5 am, and I have a tendency to wake up and read for an hour or so in the middle of the night. Materials, colors, and such are not my bailiwick, she wanted thinner rather then thicker.

We found it useful to have SOME space above the curtain for ventilation and to allow the heat from the furnace to get up into the loft on cooler nights.
It sounds like the Classic 5.0 cabinet arrangement is different from the 5.0TA. The location for the ends of our curtain rod are at the edges of the cabinet/coat closet where there are supports inside make it a sturdy location.
